This story has been floating around in my head for a long time and I really like the trope so I decided to try my hand at it. 

This was also my most stressful piece cause I totally forgot I needed to get a story up until like a week before. Whoops.

 Another thing, not to be 'that author' but please comment. You have no idea how much a motivator and excitement that is for me.

DNA duplication, restructuring, and somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT): Failed. 

Subject: Deceased. 



The beginning results showed promise before they corrupted themselves. Further testing is required.




Experiment #8 

DNA duplication, restructuring, and somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT): Failed. 

Subject: Deceased. 


The results made it to the beginning of the restructuring process before the stress caused it to fail. Further testing is required.





Experiment #10 

DNA duplication, restructuring, and somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT): Failed 

Subject: Deceased. 


We can now reliably get the DNA to complete the restructuring process, but making the final leap to life is proving impossible. A new, stronger donor will need to be used in hopes of making any progress. Further testing is required. 





Experiment #11 

DNA duplication, restructuring, and somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT): Failed 

Subject: Deceased. 


A new donor is needed. Further testing is required. 





Experiment #12 

DNA duplication, restructuring, and somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT): Failed. 

Subject: Deceased. 


Without a new donor, the testing must stop, and Project Black Heart will be a failure. New donor required. Further testing is required. 






Project Black Heart: 



Permission granted for the use of the Soldat subjects as donors for the ongoing testing. You will be given a limited supply of your choice of two Soldats. You will also be required to note which Assets you use in your experiments as donors. 

If Project Black Heart still cannot produce an enhanced living asset after such testing is required with the Soldats, it will be terminated.

The heightened regeneration of the subject due to the donor showed results that were erratic and unpredictable. Further testing is required. 




Experiment #15 

DNA duplication, restructuring, and somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT): Failed. 

Subject: In Cyro 

Donor: Asset 1 


The subject has no enhanced properties and has corrupted the DNA of the donor by half. The subject also displays no possibility of ever gaining such abilities from its donor. For our cause, it is useless. 

Termination required. 




Experiment #17 

DNA duplication, restructuring, and somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT): Failed. 

Subject: Deceased 

Donor(s): Asset 1 and Asset 4 


The DNA from the Soldats donors is too unpredictable and corrupted to continue using. The results were disastrous and have contaminated all other data. It will be impossible to continue testing. 

All research, data, and results are to be destroyed. 

Project Black Heart is terminated.

  Cont... Sam had never felt so helpless than when he'd handed Bucky's much too light body to the doctors and had only been left to pray he'd be okay. He'd see Bucky had so pretty huge highs and some pretty deep lows, but Sam had never seen him that still, that dead. Even out of surgery and hooked up to all sorts of machines, he still looked dead.
