Possibility of Tomorrow - 13

Cont...       Darling turned up in the US after that. More specifically, she showed up unannounced at Peter's Compound window one afternoon. Peter had looked so confused as he'd opened the window for her, "How'd you get up here?"  "None of your business Spidey." Darling had landed on the floor softly.  "Um. Okay. Why are you here?" Peter closed his window and turned to look at her, "Can you even be here? Is that like even allowed with everything going on and all? Like I really don't want to get in trouble for letting you in."  Darling chuckled at Peter, "Take a breath, buddy. I'm here to see Tony."  "Mr. Stark? He's in a meeting. I'm not sure if he can even meet with you. Can that happen?" Peter rambled again.  Darling laughed then, "Goodness. How do you not run out of words?" She sat in his desk chair and pulled down her hood, and unhooked her veil.  Peter looked a little gobsmacked when

Cont...  Soon the "tradition" became clockwork. No matter what, whenever they got in over their heads, Darling would come and bail them out, right as things got more bad than usual. They were still tracking the group who was trying to recreate the Hammer drones and doing well. Or at least not getting blasted by the malfunctioning wannabe drones. Word in the area also said that Tony and Rhodes were looking into it with multiple sightings over the months from the surrounding area. It all climaxed when they crossed paths with Iron Man and Spider-Man by accident, and everything hit the fan. Both parties weren't planning on the other being there, and both missions went from in and out to miniature disasters in the Mediterranean.  Barnes blacked out in the middle of it; his head against an unmovable object didn't end so well, apparently. When he slowly blinked awake, he was handing at an awkward angle upside down. He could hear voices, and from the snippets he was putting t

Cont...  The next time they needed saving, they had actually gotten themselves captured. They had been separated to ensure compliance so when Darling but into Steve's cell, he was understandably concerned.  "Where are the others?" Steve gasp the instant it had clicked that she was actually here.  "You first. Come on." Darling said before turning to go.  "No, you don't get it; they'll kill the others!" Steve rushed after her.  "I think they're all very concerned with the multiple explosions outside right now." Darling waved her hand, stepping over a body that Steve wasn't positive was still breathing.  "We'll need to move fast." Steve caught up to her.  "Now you're getting it. Left up here." Darling nodded, grinning beneath her veil. They turned the corner and ran into two soldiers. Darling choked out one with her legs before full-on landing on the second guy before Steve could even formulate a plan.

Cont... Darling was like a sponge. Soaking up all that they had to offer.  Sam had her hooked on his eccentric music taste within two days. Wanda had found a cooking buddy that was getting ever closer to perfectly replicating her family recipes. Nat saw herself in the girl so much it hurt. Darling could choke someone out with her thighs pretty soon after training started. Steve took to teaching her strategy and planning. She read like there was no tomorrow and was surprisingly good at math. Bucky was the one she seemed to like most. They would sit and do things together in silence, and nine times out of ten, she could be found with him.  With good food and healthy habits, Darling became a pretty young girl. Her dark hair floated at her shoulders, and her skin had tanned into a nice olive. Her body had also been able to grow, putting her just shorter than Nat. She loved music and literature and could give Sam a run for his money.  She stayed with them six months before they had to spl
