I apologize in advance if this doesn't match completely with the real version, they go so fast! The Asset   "Two targets, level 6. 48 hours." The programming looped silently. 48 hours was generous considering that the Asset would not need even half that time.  "Car on the right, Asset is clear." The support stated over the radio. Silently the Asset hoisted themselves on top of the truck and jumped into the roof of the designated car. Speed and surprise were the Asset's only friends.  Smoothly, the Asset hauled one of the two targets out of the car through the now broken back window and flung him into the oncoming traffic lane. The Asset took only a moment to appreciate the trucker who finished off target one. His second target was much quicker than the first, throwing herself into the front seat barely a second before the Asset sent a bullet through the roof. The Asset took another shot at her, not caring if he hit the man she had landed o...
This came out of a post I saw that asked how long it took Sam Wilson to realize he was being lapped by Steve Rogers while running the Mall. This was what I thought would happen. Sam His alarm went off at five in the morning, but by then Sam was already up. He'd had a hard time sleeping for a while now and right now was the only time running at the D.C. Mall wouldn't be a tourist nightmare. Lacing up his running shoes and locking his home up he started for the Washington monument first. He was no young man anymore but endurance was what he was training for. He was at a good pace next to the long water pool that started the Mall when a fellow runner called out, "On your left." Sam nodded in acknowledgment as the runner flew by, practically sprinting. What was it about the bragging rights of sprinting the Mall? Sam was at the Lincoln memorial when it happened again.  "On your left." The runner flew by.  "On my left, got it," Sam mu...

This I came up with after I saw a post that I will place on the bottom.  Barnes Cross "The Barnes Cross is given to those who showed exceptional acts of sacrifice in the line of service above and beyond the call of duty. It is not limited to those serving in any branch of enforcement. It is impartial but rare and in its 70-year history has only been awarded 47 times. It is given with both great pride and sadness as it is a reminder of those who give their lives in honor of our country, our freedoms, and liberty. Its name is synonymous with utmost loyalty and sacrifice in service of country and state. We are gathered here today to impart the 48 Barnes Cross on one Jack Riley, 2nd Lieutenant of the 58th Pararescue Squadron for the Khali Kandiel mission. In his death, he rescued 23 souls. May he never be forgotten and live on like all Barnes recipients, in our hearts." Sam could barely see straight as the speaker finished. His best friend was gone.  They hadn't ...
This came out of a question I ask a friend that I had over. We had just watched Captain America The First Avenger and I had a thought, would Peggy go to that date in an attempt to stall fate? Peggy That Saturday, in spite of the war the clubs were swinging and the young people were grasping what free time and youth they had left. But the crowded sidewalks parted for the women in red. The dress she wore was something no one could get their hands on these days, she looked like perfection in before war standards and an angel now.  She walked with poise, chin up, hat to a tilt, hair perfectly curled to frame her face. She entered the business called the Stork Club. The dance floor was swinging and the music was almost hopeful. But today Peggy Carter was in the mood for a dance. Taking stock of the inhabitants in the club with a single, sweeping she sat down at the bar with a clear view of the door. She contemplated the young couples on the dance floor fondly. ...
